About Toolwoven CBM Calculator
A worksheet for the numbers people exchange before a freight quote: total cubic metres and cubic feet across mixed carton sizes, gross weight, sea-freight W/M, air and courier volumetric and chargeable weight, and a rough check against 20' GP, 40' GP and 40' HQ containers. You can print a one-page packing summary or export the lines as CSV.
How it works
Everything is calculated by JavaScript in your browser. Dimensions are held internally in centimetres and weights in kilograms, using exact unit definitions, so switching between mm, cm, m, inches and feet or between kg and lb does not change the totals. Your lines and settings are kept in this browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose them. There is no account system, database or upload.
Container data sheet
The shipping container dimensions & capacity page lists inside sizes, door openings, volume, tare, max gross and payload for ten container types, each taken from a published carrier or lessor specification page and shown with the range between sources. Choosing "Use this container in the CBM calculator" there adds that container to the estimate here; nothing about your carton lines changes.
What it does not do
It is not a load planner and not a carrier quote. Container figures compare volume and payload only, using representative internal dimensions; real loading depends on orientation, pallets, stacking strength and the specific container. Carrier rounding rules and minimum charges are not applied.
